HusayPinoy is in beta — a growing home for Filipino talent 🇵🇭 Why we built this

A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER

Why HusayPinoy exists

A personal message from Gabby, the creator of HusayPinoy, on why this home for Filipino talent was built.

I’ve been wanting to build this community for a long time, and we’re finally here.

Last July, I was back home in the Philippines and attended a few events that reminded me how truly talented Filipinos are. When I scroll through my news feed, I mostly see bad news—crime, problems, things that weigh you down. But whenever I see friends and family dancing together, singing together, creating things together, I feel lighter. Those moments make me happy.

One day, while traveling with my mom and uncle on the way to Vigan, it hit me how proud I was of the people around me. Proud of their creativity. Proud of their effort. Proud of how freely they share what they love. I wanted to build a community that reflects that pride.

HusayPinoy is not about being the best or being famous. It doesn’t have to be an individual performance. It can be existing content. It can be simple. It can be art, music, cooking, movement—anything created with heart.

Growing up, I never thought I had a God-given talent. I can’t sing. I still remember practicing for a school singing “test” and being told, very honestly, that it wasn’t my strength. But I learned over time that talent isn’t just about natural ability. It’s about showing up, practicing, and being brave enough to share.

That’s what this space is for.

HusayPinoy is a community built on pride, creativity, and encouragement—nothing more, nothing less.

Thank you for being here.

With gratitude,

Gabby
